The PITT cooking system has been originated from the limitations of the traditional cooking plate. Extensive market research showed a recurring problem: the lack of space between the burners, making it impossible to use all burners at the same time. By placing the ‘cooking plate’ underneath the worktop, it became possible to position the burner at a greater distance from each other. The result: you can always use all burners at the same time, even when using large pans.
